Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Peekscribe, including peekscribe.com and related platform services (collectively, the "Service"). Peekscribe is a Peekwire brand.

If you purchase a featured placement on a standalone publication, the Featured Placement Agreement governs that purchase. If these Terms conflict with the Featured Placement Agreement regarding a featured placement purchase, the Featured Placement Agreement controls for that purchase.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Peekscribe Is

Peekscribe is the publishing platform used to host and operate standalone niche publication websites. Peekscribe provides preview links, checkout, domain and hosting operations, editorial publishing workflows, and reader contact flows for invited placement customers.

Peekscribe is not a public self-serve signup product. Access to placement offers is by invitation. Individual publications are independent editorial websites; Peekscribe operates the platform behind them.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter contracts and use the Service in compliance with applicable law. You must provide accurate information when requested for placement setup, billing, domain operations, or support.

3. Featured Placement Purchases

A featured placement is a time-limited placement on an independent publication, typically including a profile page and an optional reader contact flow. Featured placement is not a partnership, co-ownership, co-publishing arrangement, joint venture, or equity relationship.

Pricing, term, renewal, refunds, go-live, and placement-specific rights are defined in the Featured Placement Agreement, which you accept when completing payment at checkout.

4. Preview and Payment Links

If you receive a preview or payment link, it is for a specific publication invitation. Preview links include confidential access keys and must not be shared publicly. A preview is for review only and does not by itself authorize public launch.

5. Reader Contact Flows

Publications may include a short reader contact flow that collects an email address and brief responses. It is not an assessment, score, paid product, or guaranteed-outcome program.

If you are a featured placement customer, submissions from that flow are forwarded to you so you can follow up directly. You are responsible for your communications with readers and for complying with applicable privacy, marketing, and consumer protection laws.

Depending on jurisdiction, you may act as the data controller or business for reader submissions. Peekscribe generally acts as a service provider or processor for that data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Your Materials and Compliance

You are responsible for the accuracy of information and materials you provide, including interview answers, biography text, photos, and business claims. You agree to comply with laws applicable to your content, outreach, and reader communications, including privacy, consumer protection, and anti-spam laws where they apply.

You are responsible for your own legal review of campaign copy, notices, consent flows, and regional compliance obligations.

7. AI-Assisted and Editorial Content

The Service may use automated or AI-assisted tools to help generate drafts, layouts, or operational content. Outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your context. You are responsible for reviewing contributed and profile content before publication and for consequences of materials you approve.

Standard editorial articles on a publication are produced independently unless you contributed to them. Editorial content you did not contribute is not your responsibility.

8. Payment Processing

Featured placement fees are one-time charges for a stated term unless a renewal offer says otherwise. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, a third-party payment processor. You authorize Dodo Payments and Peekscribe to charge your payment method for placement fees and applicable taxes shown at checkout.

Peekscribe does not store full payment card numbers on Peekscribe systems. Placement fees, refund rules, and cancellation rules are defined in the Featured Placement Agreement.

9. Domains and Hosting

When included in a featured placement, Peekscribe may register, configure, and operate a dedicated domain and hosting for the Publication using selected registrars and infrastructure providers. Domains may be registered under Peekscribe-managed registrar profiles for operational reasons.

Domain use rights during an active placement term are described in the Featured Placement Agreement. You are responsible for ensuring requested domain names and related content do not infringe third-party rights.

10. Your Content and License to Operate the Service

You retain ownership of content and materials you provide to Peekscribe ("Customer Content"). You grant Peekscribe a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, modify, transmit, and display Customer Content only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and your active featured placement.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • violate applicable laws or regulations;
  • publish unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, misleading, or infringing content;
  • distribute malware, spam, or harmful automation;
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
  • interfere with platform stability, security, or integrity;
  • misrepresent your relationship with Peekscribe, Peekwire, or a Publication.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party providers, including infrastructure providers, domain registrars, DNS providers, email delivery providers, and payment processors such as Dodo Payments. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or acts and omissions of third-party services outside our reasonable control.

13. Intellectual Property

Peekscribe software, design, and branding are owned by Peekscribe and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms or the Featured Placement Agreement, no rights are transferred to you.

Peekwire is a separate editorial media brand. Use of Peekwire branding or content is governed by its own sites and policies unless expressly included in your arrangement.

14. No Legal Advice

Peekscribe does not provide legal, tax, or regulatory advice. Product guidance, template copy, and suggested text are informational only. You are responsible for obtaining advice appropriate to your business and jurisdictions.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peekscribe disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee traffic, search rankings, leads, revenue, or other commercial outcomes.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peekscribe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the placement fees you paid to Peekscribe in the six (6) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) if you have not purchased a featured placement.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Peekscribe from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your reader communications, your domain or placement materials, or your violation of these Terms, the Featured Placement Agreement, or applicable law.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe there is abuse, security risk, non-payment, legal exposure, or material violation of these Terms or the Featured Placement Agreement. Termination and post-term effects for featured placements are described in the Featured Placement Agreement.

Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive, including payment obligations, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Peekscribe is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to submit disputes to the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
